Summary

Nothing ruins an ocean view like a body on the beach!
Plum Lockhart went out on a limb when she ditched her corporate job in New York City and moved to the Caribbean island of Paraiso。 Now the head of her own villa broker agency, Plum spends her days chasing down clients and lounging on white sand beaches。
But the sweet life turns sour when a publishing heiress is found dead at the mansion of an eccentric tycoon, Dieter Friedrich。 Even worse, Plum's old colleague cashes in a favor and asks her to investigate。 It looks like she'll need to fit a murder case into her already jam-packed schedule!
Friedrich is known for his shady dealings, but he's not the only bad apple on the island—Plum will have to contend with a scheming millionaire, a sleazy rockstar, and devious B-list celebrities。 And joining Plum once again is Juan Kevin Munoz, the distractingly gorgeous Director of Security。 Despite the sparks between them, they'll need to stay focused on the case—there's a murderer hot on their heels!

I know it’s only book 2, but Plum is growing on me!! I’m really enjoying this series。 Plum as a character still has her moments where I have to roll my eyes, but once again I root every step of the way for her 🤣This newest murder has a lot of different players in the mix and it was tough at some points to guess who was actually the bad guy。 With the way this ended I’m looking forward to seeing if some of the shadier characters who ‘got away’ will reappear in the series later on。 I absolutely rec I know it’s only book 2, but Plum is growing on me!! I really enjoyed this cozy mystery set in the islands of the Pacific Ocean。 A New Yorker, tired of the grind, goes to a vacation in Paradise。 But she ends up embroiled in a murder investigation with a hot local policeman。 Great start to a new cozy mystery series。 The narration was also excellent。I want to thank the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for giving me an advance copy of this audiobook, in return for an honest review。

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version。 First off the narrator did a really good job! I find that other books I have listened to and if the narrator has to do an accent it usually annoys me, but this narrator did really good with all the accents。 If you love murder mysteries then you will like this one。 It was a cute easy read and the perfect who done it。 Highly recommend。 I would read from this author again。

This is a fun cozy mystery。 I would probably have rated this a 5 star in written form, but I am reviewing the audio portion。 The "accents" were a bit distracting, and it was difficult to discern which character was speaking - thus the confusion。 It's a good mystery plot - rather long with lots of details that don't necessarily add to the storyline but then again it could have just been me having confusion over the which character was speaking。 Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for thi This is a fun cozy mystery。 I would probably have rated this a 5 star in written form, but I am reviewing the audio portion。 The "accents" were a bit distracting, and it was difficult to discern which character was speaking - thus the confusion。 It's a good mystery plot - rather long with lots of details that don't necessarily add to the storyline but then again it could have just been me having confusion over the which character was speaking。 Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advanced review copy。 In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review。 All opinions and thoughts are my own。 。。。more
